Jackie Pullinger is a British Christian evangelist and author, known for her work among drug addicts and gang members in Hong Kong's infamous Walled City. Born on February 1944 in England, she grew up in a Christian family and felt called to missionary work at an early age. After training as a nurse and a midwife, Pullinger felt a strong call to serve in Hong Kong. In 1966, she arrived in the city with no contacts or resources, but she had a strong faith in God and a determination to help the marginalized and the poor.
